What Am I Looking For In Others With Optic Neuritis?
Optic neuritis is a very common symptom to patients who suffer from Multiple Sclerosis.
Which it is why I have been diagnosed with MS. However, I have a rare form of Lupus (Systemic Lupus Erythrematosis) an auto-immune disease
that affects your organs. In my case, it affected my nervous system, which explains the optic nerve damage. I am still interested in joining the low vision friends group, since I can help others that may have problems with my type of damage.
Multiple Sclerosis is also an auto-immune disease that affects your nervous system.
I was unable to walk, but now I am back to as much normalcy as possible. This disease affects people 20-40 years of age...and of course there is no cure.
How Is My Sight Now?
Well, in my left eye, it is primarily hand motion. In the right eye, I can see everything, but it is very blurry, with both eyes, I can see a full picture, but I cannot make out faces unless they are within kissing distance...pretty
darn close.
But I don't let that stop me from doing lots of things. I am currently working for Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind.
NOTE: At this time we are not planning to have a registration form, we don't see the point of make you go through that, we'll add for now anyone who wants to belong to our Web Site.
