Mr. Gutierrez has always been a man with a "vision", he believes since he was diagnosed with the Retinitis Pigmentosa, that nothing should stop him from achieving anything, and therefore instead of staying home feeling sorry for himself, he works more than many sighted people, and has invested money and time in making this site possible.
He has the energy, courage and ambition to do something about his disease, he not only researchs and keeps himself informed about all regarding his disease but he is always looking for treatments to improve his sight as much as possible.
Mr. Gutierrez, now 31 years of age, believes that the best is yet to come. He believes in having a family of his own, and finding a cure for this disease and all low vision diseases.
"It is very common to feel misunderstood when you have these eye problems", he says, "Some women do not understand either when they see 20/20 and you struggle to see a stair step and I hope this site will give singles with low vision a way to find people that can understand them".
Mr. Gutierrez is convinced there are no limits for what a person with low vision can achieve, unless they themselves place some obstacles in their way.
